14th Annual Guild of Music Supervisors Awards – Honorees, performers and presenters

The Guild of Music Supervisors (“GMS”) has announced the honorees, performers, and presenters, of their 14th Annual Guild of Music Supervisors Awards, to be celebrated at The Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 3rd, 2024.

The Icon Award will be given to Robbie Robertson, who will be recognized posthumously.  The Icon Award was created to celebrate those who have made legendary contributions to the music and film industry. Previous recipients of the Icon Award include Paul Williams, Diane Warren, Quincy Jones, Burt Bacharach, Kenny Loggins, and Marc Shaiman.  The 14th Annual Guild of Music Supervisors Legacy Award will be given to Music Supervisor Allan Mason. The Legacy Award is bestowed to a Music Supervisor who has made an impact within the industry over the course of their career.  Previous recipients of the award include Pilar McCurry, Mitchell Leib, Maureen Crowe, Bob Hunka, Joel Sill, Gary Lemel, and Chris Montan.

Music Supervisors have been known to break new talent into media and highlight iconic artists through music placement in various media.  Performing this year at the ceremony is Guild of Music Supervisors Award nominee Dan Wilson, who will perform his nominated song “It Never Went Away” from the film American Symphony that he co-wrote with Jon Batiste.  The song is also nominated for the Academy Awards for Best Original Song.  The Guild of Music Supervisors Awards Spotlight Performer will be d4vd, who at age 18 has already reached Billboard’s 100 and whose singles “Romantic Homicide” and “Here With Me” are each quickly approaching the billion streams mark.  D4vd is signed to Interscope/Darkroom. Celebrity Presenters include Nia Vardalos, Ben Platt, Noah Galvin, Luca Guadagnino, Mark Ronson, PJ Morton, RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Crystal Methyd, Freddy Scott, Ryan Lott of Son Lux, and Academy-Award winner Volker Bertelmann, plus more surprises to come.
