The Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival, that is celebrated from 20 Feb – 3 Mar 2019 in Dublin (Ireland), will have composer David Shire as a special guest in two events.
The first one, entitled ‘An Evening With David Shire’, will be celebrated tomorrow, Thursday 21st at 19h at the venue Light House Cinema, having a career retrospective interview hosted by Aedín Gormley from RTÉ’s Movies and Musicals, with David Shire performing live songs and pieces on the piano and vocal accompaniment from Suzanne Savage.

The second one is a masterclass entitled ‘David Shire Composing Masterclass’ aimed at screen composers, practitioners, and students, on Friday 22nd at 10:30h at the National Concert Hall, where prolific composer David Shire will talk about his work and composition process, hosted by Irish composer Anna Rice, board member of the Screen Composers Guild of Ireland.
