FIMUCITÉ 16 – Dates Announced

“FIMUCITÉ WILL CELEBRATE ITS SIXTEENTH EDITION FROM SEPTEMBER 16TH TO 25TH.

 

The Tenerife International Film Music Festival prepares an outstanding program of concerts and parallel activities for soundtrack fans.

 

Santa Cruz de Tenerife, May 26, 2022.- The Tenerife International Film Music Festival (FIMUCITÉ), directed by renowned composer and conductor Diego Navarro, presents the dates for the celebration of its sixteenth edition, and will take place from September 16 to 25, 2022, with the support of the Cabildo of Tenerife, the Government of the Canary Islands, the city councils of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Audi Canarias and Teleférico del Teide, among other entities.

 

After the success of its 15th anniversary in 2021, with full capacity in the seven concerts held in Auditorio de Tenerife, Teatro Leal, Teatro Guimerá, ex Convento de Santo Domingo and Espacio La Granja, despite the restrictions and measures required by the health situation at the time, the organization of FIMUCITÉ is working on a great program for its loyal fans and new audiences, in an edition in which the festival will return to normal capacity after the pandemic.

 

The program will include concerts of different formats, performed by the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, the Tenerife Film Choir, the Pop Culture Band, the Polyphonic Choir of the University of La Laguna, the White Voices Choir of the Professional Conservatory of Music of Tenerife and other international guest ensembles and soloists.

 

Among the parallel activities, a new course of the FIMUCITÉ Film Scoring Academy (Fimucité Academy for Audiovisual Composers) will be held and the program of screenings of FIMUCINEMA, the official competition section of the Festival, among others, will be deployed.

 

The leitmotif of this new edition will be announced very soon, as well as the first guests and the complete program of the event.”
