Alexandre Desplat conducted on 29 & 30 January 2025 the Orchestre de Paris at the Philharmonie de Paris in a thrilling selection of his best scores for Hollywood (read more).

 

Now, his fans are up to two very good news: Warner Classics has released an album with the music of that concert entitled ‘Paris-Hollywood’, and the concert will also premiere on Sunday, September 28, 2025, in selected cinemas. Later in 2025 the concert will be released on ARTE television.

 

OFFICIAL DESCRIPTION – CONCERT

Alexandre Desplat conducts the Orchestre de Paris in a thrilling selection of his best scores for Hollywood: a program that alternates between blockbusters and independent films, from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows to The Shape of Water, via The Tree of Life, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Godzilla, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

 

An Oscar winner for the soundtracks of The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) and The Shape of Water (2018), he passionately continues the tradition of the great French composers in Hollywood and draws the audience into his powerful and dreamlike world.

 

Under the artistic direction and co-direction of Solrey, this symphonic concert produced by ARTE and filmed by Samuel Thiebaut at the Philharmonie de Paris, performed by the Orchestre de Paris, recreates all the sensitivity and virtuosity of his scores.

 

The concert will premiere on Sunday, September 28, 2025, in selected cinemas. Later in 2025 the concert will be released on ARTE television.
