Four leading pianists will join 81-year-old Philip Glass tonight, in the eagerly awaited Kennedy Center debut performance of his piece ‘20 Etudes’, a work that Glass composed over a 20-year period, and considers something of a self-portrait.

This two-hour performance will include Philip Glass, Jason Moran, Aaron Diehl, Devonté Hynes, and Jenny Lin, where each pianist will perform four of the 20 Etudes, bringing a fresh and personal perspective to Glass’ work.
