The famous French musical film ‘The Young Girls of Rochefort’ (Les Demoiselles de Rochefort – 1967) by director Jacques Demy, will celebrate its 50th anniversary at the legendary Le Grand Rex theatre in Paris during two screenings: September 30th and October 1st, 2017.
There, composer Michel Legrand will present for the first time the Orchestral Suite of the music of the film, in a world premiere creation that brings together the major themes of the famous musical comedy. This unpublished piece will be conducted by Michel Legrand on piano, accompanied on stage by a band of 20 musicians.
Following the concert, the film will be screened in its completely restored version.
When: Saturday 30th of September at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday 1st of October 2017 at 4:00 p.m.
