Composer and conductor David Newman will conduct 6 concerts with Leonard Bernstein’s score for the movie ‘West Side Story’ in San Francisco and Minnesota this month of February, while the movie is projected with the original vocals and dialog intact.

On February 1st, 2nd and 3rd he will conduct the San Francisco Symphony at the Davies Symphony Hall (San Francisco, California) and on February 15th, 16th, and 17th he will conduct the Minnesota Orchestra at the Orchestra Hall (Minnesota, Minneapolis).

Winner of an astounding ten Academy Awards, West Side Story is the Oscar record holder for a movie musical.
