Thessaloniki welcomes world-renowned film music composer and conductor Alexandre Desplat, who will conduct the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra in his own works during the 57th Dimitria Festival. Alexandre Desplat’s artistic director: Dominique ‘Solrey’ Lemonnier.

 

The French composer, of Greek origin on his mother’s side, has written music for more than 40 films and has won numerous awards, including two Oscars, two Grammys, a Golden Globe and many more, with his music in famous movies, such as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The Shape of Water, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Imitation Game, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Argo, Godzilla, Twilight Saga: New Moon etc. A special evening for music and also cinema lovers.
