Tomorrow, Sunday, May 18th, the Alicante Municipal Symphonic Band will offer a concert of soundtracks as part of the programme of the XXII Alicante Film Festival, which will include two pieces by the Alicante composer Luis Ivars, who will receive the Music for the Image Award at the closing gala on May 25th (read more).
The concert will be conducted by Pedro Lara Navarrete, and its programme will be as follows:
- Desfile de Aurigas – Ben Hur – Miklós Rozsa (arr. Miguel González)
- Mancini Spectacular – Henry Mancini (arr. Warren Barker)
- El Capitán Trueno en las Cruzadas – Luis Ivars
- Tiempos de Azúcar – Luis Ivars
- Star Wars Saga ‘El Imperio Contraataca’ – John Williams (arr. Johan de Meij)
- Lawerence de Arabia – Maurice Jarre (arr. Alfred Reed)
- Charles Chaplin – Chaplin/Delangle/Wilson (arr. Marcel Peeters)
