Continuing with the concert cycle of the festival “CDMX – Music of the City of Mexico” that is celebrated in Los Angeles this week, 9 – 17 of October, a concert titled ‘CDMX – Noche de Cine’ (Film Night) will be held tonight, performed by Los Angeles Philharmonic and conducted by Gustavo Dudamel; concert that is already SOLD OUT!
From the Golden Age of Mexican cinema to the present day, the concert will drive the audience through classic scores by composers from Esperón to Revueltas, with clips from Pedro Infante and Jorge Negrete films, as well as music from current movies such as Pan’s Labyrinth by Guillermo del Toro, with the following program:
A portion of CDMX Festival ticket sales will be donated to UNICEF relief efforts, for people affected by the recent earthquake in Mexico.
