Cinefan Festival Úbeda – 10th Anniversary Documentary

Cinefan Festival turned ten years old in 2022. Its birth, development, and current situation, including the pandemic period, has been quite an adventure for the organization. In this documentary, of more than an hour, made by the director Francis Villacañas, from Ubeda, we have wanted to tell the origin, its trajectory and the vicissitudes that have marked a decade of efforts and wills full of anecdotes.

Different members of the organization, guests from different editions, and the City Council of Úbeda itself have participated in the audiovisual presentation through interviews and testimonies. All completed with the large amount of audiovisual material that has been recorded over the years and that illustrate the viewer on a visual journey through the history of the film event.

The voices of the well-known dubbing actors Camilo García and Nuria Mediavilla have been used as voiceover narrators of the history of the festival. They have been responsible for transporting the viewer through each of the sections and sections of the documentary.

For the organization it is important that this work has been done, in order to record the significance of the event. Also to remember episodes or people who have been part of the event and who, unfortunately, are no longer with us. A special and emotional experience with a strong load of experiences that will be part of their legacy.

The documentary will premiere at the Auditorium of the Hospital de Santiago on Thursday, June 29 at 8:30 pm. Admission is free until full capacity is reached. For the moment, it will be the only way to watch it as it will not be uploaded to social networks or platforms.
