Today Sunday 7th of May 2017 at 8:00 p.m., the concert “The Future is Female: A Concert For Women in Film” will be celebrated at the Herb Alpert Educational Village of Santa Monica (California), and the good news is it’s already SOLD OUT!

The event is an orchestral concert featuring 10 female composers all working for Film and TV: Anne-Kathrin Dern, Brooke deRosa, Edith Mudge, Jessica Rae Huber, Jessie Weiss, Nami Melumad, Perrine Virgile-Piekarski, Tangelene Bolton, Tori Letzler and Vivian Aguiar-Buff.

Each composer will be presenting an original piece, featuring Hollywood Chamber Orchestra brought by Mark Robertson and Noah Gladstone.

These women are the assistants, additionals, music editors, and musicians who have worked on some of Hollywood’s biggest projects to date and now are having them their own platform, helping that way to encourage female composers and shedding a light on some names you may not know yet, but you will.
