The Royal Albert Hall continues hosting the BBC Proms (July 19 – September 14), and on Friday, August 9th at 15h and 19:30h, the John Wilson Orchestra conducted by John Wilson will celebrate a double session film music concert entitled ‘The Warner Brothers Story’, presenting an evening of sumptuous technicoloured scores from the Golden Age of Hollywood cinema.

 

The concert will have the participation of the singers Mikaela Bennett, Louise Dearman, Kate Lindsey, Matthew Ford and the Maida Vale Singers.

 

The evening show will be broadcast live on BBC Four TV, live on BBC Radio 3, and will be recorded for future broadcast on BBC Radio 2 (Prom 30).

 

The program will include the following pieces:

  • Judy Garland tribute: various artists Born in a Trunk (sequence)
