Tomorrow, Saturday, March 26, the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra led by Naohisa Furusawa, will perform two special concerts entitled ‘Totoro goes to the Carnival’ at the Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

 

The program will include two pieces: first, Camille Saint-Saëns’ “Carnival of the Animals” which even 100 years after from its premiere, captivates with an unexpected parade of musical creatures. Following, Joe Hisaishi’s “My Neighbor Totoro”, capturing a forest full of playful spirits and furry friends. The concerts will be narrated by Gerard Salonga and will have the participation of pianists Akiko Daniš and Ng Chong Lim.
