Max Richter is one of the most creative and stylistically versatile contemporary composers. His list of works ranges from solo pieces to large-scale film music and music for avant-garde art projects. At the Konzerthaus Berlin in 2012 he performed “Recomposed: Vivaldi – The Four Seasons” with violinist Daniel Hope and the Konzerthaus Kammerorchester. In a time of constantly threatening sleep deprivation, his more than eight-hour-long concept album “Sleep” on sleep and sleep research has fascinated audiences and critics since 2015.

In these two concerts at the Berlin Konzerthaus on Sunday, October 3, however, the Max Richter Ensemble with Max Richter at the piano, will perform excerpts from two other works: from the award-winning soundtrack of the series “The Leftovers”, which is characterized by existential questions and melancholy, and from “Infra”, which “combines electronic and acoustic sounds with classical-romantic string melodies and minimalist piano meditations”.
