The WDR Funkhausorchester conducted by Frank Strobel will perform this weekend in Cologne and Wuppertal (Germany), two concerts dedicated to movies and musicals entitled ‘New York – New Year’. The events will be presented and moderated by comedian and musicologist Martin Zingsheim, and the Saturday 19th concert will be live-streamed on the Internet.

SECOND HALF
- George Gershwin – Overture from STRIKE UP THE BAND/ MANHATTAN
- George Gershwin – “He Loves, She Loves” from MANHATTAN (& FUNNY FACE)
- Alan Menken – Orchestral Suite from THE LITTLE MERMAID
- John Williams – Themes from JURASSIC PARK
- John Barry – Love theme from THE SCARLET LETTER
- John Williams – “Adventures on Earth” from E.T. THE EXTRA TERRESTRIAL
