The famous French film music composer, Alexandre Desplat, author of more than a hundred soundtracks, who has been awarded numerous prizes including two Oscars (for ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ and ‘The Shape Of Water’), will talk about his career and his work at the Cinema Le Méliès in Montreuil (France), on Saturday, September 21st, 2019.

“It’s a very strange profession, film music” says Alexandre Desplat, “we are at the service of a common project, but there are all these constraints, of time, of exchanges, of communication with the director. You have to look until the music really becomes the image. It’s not just the music anymore, it’s in the movie.”
