Irish composer, conductor, producer, and speaker Eimear Noone, will receive the first edition of the Laochra Cheoil Award tonight at the Hotel Meyrick in Galway (Ireland), during a black-tie gala fundraising dinner and concert organized by Music for Galway in support of CELLISSIMO, a new cello festival organized as part of Galway 2020 cultural initiative. By the way, Irish ‘Laochra Ceoil’ can be translated as ‘Music Warrior’ a term that perfectly fits the character and spirit of Eimear Noone.
