Following the world premiere in December 2019, conductor Ludwig Wicki and the 21st Century Orchestra will now bring the original 1955 film ‘Sissi’ to life on the big screen at the KKL Luzern on February 5, 2022.
The soundtrack, composed by Anton Profes, guides us through the splendid backdrop of the Habsburg monarchy, depicting the young love of the incomparable Romy Schneider as Sissi and Karlheinz Böhm as the gallant Emperor Franz Joseph, finding its way to each other against parental principles and courtly regulations.
