This year, the gala concert is dedicated to the European idea. Under the direction of Bernd Ruf, the Staatskapelle Halle will bring classical and new film music by European artists to the stage and embark on a cultural search for traces of the musical diversity of the continent.

In addition to film music by Mikis Theodorakis (Greece), Björk (Iceland) and Karim Sebastian Elias (Germany – “Ku’damm 63”), the gala concert will also present new compositions by master class participants and alumni of the Berklee College of Music, Valencia.
