We are entering the final stretch of the 17th edition of FIMUCITÉ, ending this week with the symphonic concerts to be held at the Auditorio de Tenerife on Friday, July 14, and Saturday, July 15, dedicated to the world of comics and their protagonists, heroes and villains, who have inspired the audiovisual throughout history.
On Friday, July 14th at 20h, the concert ‘Excelsior: Stan Lee’s Legacy’ will offer a program where we will enjoy the majestic soundtracks of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well as adaptations of the iconic publisher’s stories and characters to TV. One standout performance is the World Premiere of the score to “Werewolf by Night” by composer Michael Giacchino, who also directed the film, specifically prepared for this concert. Of course, we couldn’t forget one of the studio’s major emblems: Spider-man and the legendary score by Danny Elfman. Titles such as “The Incredible Hulk”, X- Men, Black Panther or The Avengers, among others, will also delight the audience.
The concert will feature renowned guests such as Tyler Bates, regular collaborator of James Gunn and Zack Snyder and composer of music for ‘300’, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, ‘Deadpool 2’, ‘Watchmen’, or ‘The Punisher’ series.
Also returning to Fimucité is the trio Dynamic Music Partners, made up of composers Lolita Ritmanis, Michael McCuistion, and Kristopher Carter, who have written music for several Marvel and DC animated films.
Also returning to the festival as guest musician is extraordinaire drummer Greg Ellis, whose performances have been featured on more than 200 film, television, and video game soundtracks, including ‘300’, ‘Iron Man’, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and ‘Assassin’s Creed’.
The concert will include the awards ceremony of the Premios de la Música para el Audiovisual Español / Spanish Audiovisual Music Awards, now in its 6th edition, and the performance of a special suite with the winning music. These awards are organized by the Asociación de Compositores de Música para Audiovisual (Musimagen) in collaboration with FIMUCITÉ and with the sponsorship of Fundación SGAE (read more).
