Orchestra conductor Oliver Díaz, current musical director of the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid, will receive today Sunday, November 26, the ‘Golden Lyre’ award at the Parish Church of San Felix of Candas (Asturias, Spain).

The award ceremony will be accompanied by a concert honoring Saint Cecilia performed by the Candas Music Band conducted by Xuacu Llaneza and presented by Mrs. Carmen Veiga Porto. The program will include pieces by the Dutch composer Johan de Meij (“Lago Nes” – Scottish Fantasies in 5 movements) and the Valencian composer Oscar Navarro (“The Ark of Noah” – Symphonic Poem in 10 movements), among others.
