Last weekend, on Friday, August 23rd, the Disney Legends Awards ceremony was held during the D23 Expo at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim (CA, USA).
There, composer Hans Zimmer received the Disney Legend Award for his contribution to Disney’s creative legacy with his music.
Unfortunately, Hans Zimmer couldn’t be present at the ceremony and left the following message:
The Disney Legends Awards have honored a total 289 persons since their foundation in 1987, being a recognition of talent, a celebration of achievement, and an expression of profound gratitude to the remarkable men and women, who have made an indelible mark on Disney’s legacy.
Other honorees and Disney Legends Award recipients this 2019 were Wing Chao, Robert Downey Jr., Jon Favreau, James Earl Jones, Bette Midler, Kenny Ortega, Barnette Ricci, Robin Roberts, Diane Sawyer, Ming-Na Wen, and Christina Aguilera.
