On Sunday, March 5th, Helix Collective will celebrate International Women’s Day with a special concert featuring music of Dara Taylor (The Tender Bar), Sherri Chung (Riverdale, The Red Line), Amritha Vaz (Mira, Royal Detective), Anna Drubich (Barbarian), Heather McIntosh (Z for Zachariah, The L Word, Generation Q), and Emilie Bernstein (Orchestrator, Call of Duty: Black Ops).
As part of the performance, the composers will share their thoughts on composing for film and the challenges and rewards of writing for live performances. Co-presented by Helix Collective and West Hollywood, and sponsored by the Alliance for Women Film Composers, the program will begin with a 20-minute documentary presented by the Russian Speaking Board of West Hollywood dedicated to women heroes in the West Hollywood community.
