As he does every year (read more-2017, read more-2018), Japanese composer Joe Hisaishi will conduct and play piano at a special end-of-the-year concert (Saint Silvester concert) next Tuesday, December 31st, 2019 – 17:00h at the Osaka Festival Hall in Osaka (Japan), with the Japan Century Symphony Orchestra and several choirs.

 

This concert, that sold out all its tickets weeks ago, will have the following program:

  • John Adams (1947-) – Chairman Dances (1985)
  • Joe Hisaishi (1950-) – My Neighbor Totoro – Suite (1988)
  • Samuel Barber (1910-1981) – Adagio for Strings (1936)
  • Leonard Bernstein (1918-1990) – West Side Story – Symphonic Dances (1960)
