The Los Angeles Live Score Film Festival will celebrate its 8th edition on July, 8th, 2023, with a concert to be held at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre in Los Angeles (California, USA).

 

The festival is presented by Helix Collective and SAGindie featuring short films from their Film Music Connect program and short films from the Los Angeles Film School.

 

Selected film composers are paired with a winning filmmaker to create an original score for the festival. The film is screened with the score performed live by the renowned performance and recording ensemble, Helix Collective. The screening includes a panel with the filmmakers and composers with hosts Kimberley Browning and Brian Lauritzen. The audience votes for Best Picture and Best Musical Score and the awards are presented at the close of the festival.

  • 6:00pm Composer & Filmmaker Panel with Hosts Kimberley Browning & Brian Lauritzen
  • 7:00pm Screening & concert
  • 9:00pm Reception with India Sweets & Spices
