A special screening of Fritz Lang’s pioneering sci-fi classic Metropolis (1927), will be held today Wednesday, 10th of October, at Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room in London, as part of ‘Festival of Film’, accompanied with a live piano score composed and performed by British composer and pianist Dmytro Morykit. The same concert will be repeated next week, Friday 19th, in Leeds (UK).

Morykit combined work composed over a 30 year period with several pieces written especially for the film, to create an incredible new piano concert which complements the film, bringing it to a modern audience. The dramatic theatre of the solo piano, sets the film in sharper focus, allowing the audience a new way to experience both music and image.
