The Society of Composers & Lyricists (SCL), held recently two Christmas events, one in New York (December 11th) and the other one in Los Angeles (December 19th), where they honored composers John Corigliano and Terence Blanchard (NY) and Harry Gregson-Williams and Marc Shaiman (LA), with the Ambassador Award 2018.
The SCL presents the Ambassador Award to visual media composers, lyricists, and songwriters, whose musical contributions have had a significant impact in films, television, and video games.
Los Angeles meeting included a piano performance by Marc Shaiman and a recital where Harry Gregson-Williams played piano accompanied by a string quartet, while New York meeting had a performance of John Corigliano‘s music by violinist Philippe Quint.
