The SONAFILM festival, which will celebrate its 8th edition from July 31 to August 22, will kick off on Friday, July 31, with a choral concert at the Sala Multiespai l’Androna (Baleària-Dénia) titled ‘Versión Española: Homenaje a Antón García Abril / Spanish Version: Tribute to Antón García Abril’. This concert, performed by the Polyphonic Choir of the University of La Laguna under the direction of Julio Chinea, will pay tribute to one of the key figures in Spanish music for film and television.

The Polyphonic Choir of the University of La Laguna, conducted by Julio Chinea, will headline this concert, conceived as a tribute to Antón García Abril, one of the leading figures in Spanish film and television music. The program will offer a journey through the creative universe of the Madrid-born composer in an evening designed to celebrate the melodic richness, emotion, and personality of a body of work that forms part of the audiovisual memory of several generations. The concert will open the SONAFILM 8 program.
