Today, Tuesday, December 4th, Fernando Velázquez will lead the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León (OSCyL) at the Salamanca Conference Center, in a concert that will feature the composer and songwriter Amancio Prada and the Symphonic Choir of the Superior Conservatory of Castilla y León, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Spanish Constitution and the 800th anniversary of the University of Salamanca.

Amancio Prada, who will be the protagonist of the concert, will perform in world premiere the symphonic version of ‘Coplas por la muerte de su padre’ (‘Popular songs for the death of his father’) by the XIVth century Castilian poet Jorge Manrique, with arrangements prepared by Fernando Velázquez.
