As it was announced early this year (read more), Amblin Television, Imagine Documentaries, and Nedland Media are producing a documentary on the figure of Maestro John Williams, that is being directed by Laurent Bouzereau, with Steven Spielberg as executive producer, along with Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey, Justin Wilkes, Sara Bernstein, and Meredith Kaulfers.
And this week it been announced by World of Reel that Spielberg is in fact working on the documentary himself:
“Spielberg is currently editing a documentary centered around his longtime composer, John Williams. That’s been taking up most of his time. It’s not like he could have shot a film during the strike.”
Good news for fans of film music around the world! The documentary is currently in the early stages of production, so no release date has been announced yet.
