Starring Steve McQueen, ‘The Great Escape’ (1963, dir. John Sturges) is a tale of action, adventure, and raw courage. On Saturday, July 2nd, the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall becomes Liverpool’s biggest cinema, and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra led by Dirk Brossé will play Elmer Bernstein’s classic score, live with the film.
