Starting today Friday 2nd and till Sunday 4th of February, a thematic weekend dedicated to Alfred Hitchcock will be held in the Concert Hall of the Philharmonie de Paris, where several of his films will be screened with live music.
- Today, Friday 2nd at 8:30 p.m., the silent film ‘The Lodger’ (1923) will be screened, featuring music composed by Olivier Penard performed by the Orchestre Symphonique Divertimento under the baton Zahia Ziouani. Prior to the screening of the film, at 7:00 p.m., there will be a panel-conference with composer Olivier Penard.
- Tomorrow, Saturday 3rd at 8:30 p.m., the movie ‘Psycho’ (1960) will be screened with the mythical music of Bernard Herrmann, performed by Britten Sinfonia under the baton of Ernst van Tiel. This function has all its tickets sold out at the moment.
- On Sunday 4th at 4:30 p.m., the movie ‘Vertigo’ (1958) will be screened with wonderful Bernard Herrmann’s music, also performed by the Britten Sinfonia conducted by Ernst van Tiel. There are still some tickets available for this screening.
