On December 25, 2024, and on the occasion of the 30th Ports of Tenerife Christmas Concert, the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra premiered a work by composer and conductor Diego Navarro: “Navidad de Luz y Mar / Christmas of Light and Sea”, a commission by the orchestra, performed under the baton of Iván López Reynoso.
In the words of Diego Navarro ‘“Navidad de Luz y Mar / Christmas of Light and Sea” is a piece written to celebrate the essence of my island: a joyful, luminous, strong, vibrant, exciting land of bright blue sky and strong ocean’.
