Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 4th, Bruce Broughton’s ‘Concerto for flute, harp, and piano – An Angel in the Attic’ will receive its world premiere at the St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Pacific Palisades (California).

 

The complete program of the concert will be as follows:

  • Jean Cras – Quintet for harp, flute, and strings
  • Bruce Broughton – An Angel in the Attic – Concerto for flute, harp, and piano (WORLD PREMIERE)
  • Beethoven – String Quartet no 9 in C major, op 59 no 3, ‘Razumovsky’

 

The concert will be performed by the Lyris Quartet (Alyssa Park – violin, Shalini Vijayan – violin, Luke Maurer – viola and Timothy Loo – cello), with Susan Greenberg (flute), Cristina Montes Mateo (harp) and Bruce Broughton at the piano.

 

The symphonic premiere of Brougthon’s work will be on April 4th (more about that to come later…)
