Minneapolis (Minnesota) will host tomorrow Thursday, May 3rd, the World Premiere of Jeff Beal’s ‘Flute Concerto’, in an event that will be repeated on Friday, May 4th, and Saturday, May 5th.

Those three concerts will feature music by four American composers: Aaron Copland, Jeff Beal, Samuel Barber and Leonard Bernstein, performed by the Minnesota Orchestra conducted by Osmo Vänskä, and will showcase two outstanding musicians as soloists.

Sharon Bezaly will perform the world premiere of the flute concerto composed for her by Jeff Beal, the Emmy-winning composer of the hit Netflix series House of Cards, and guest to Movie Score Malaga – MOSMA festival in Spain this July 2018. Orchestra’s concertmaster Susie Park will be featured soloist in Barber’s Violin Concerto.
