Hull College and C64Audio.com present a celebration of the forgotten golden age of British computing genius with the world premiere of the concert ‘8-Bit Symphony’ that will include more than 90 epic minutes of game music from the Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC, performed by the Hull Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Robin Tait, together with game footage in a giant screen.

Lovingly re-orchestrated in the spirit of the original, with 5 pieces orchestrated by the legendary 8-bit composer Rob Hubbard himself, this music has never sounded so joyful nor so epic. The concert will cover genres from Kung-Fu Movies to 80’s epic Sci-fi to John Williams-esque romps, helping to discover a world of lost 80’s film soundtracks with the best melodies and the biggest sound… to honor much-overlooked musical genius.

The concert will have the presence of composers Rob Hubbard and Paul Norman as special guests.
