Apulia Soundtrack Awards 2025 – 4th edition – Winners

The Apulia Soundtrack Awards festival celebrated its 4th edition on July 4–6, 2025, in the beautiful city of Carovigno in Puglia, Italy. The festival presented three days of music, cinema, and masterclasses, and a final concert with an awards ceremony.

The Apulia Soundtrack Awards & Festival reveals a full list of the winners for this 2025 edition. During three days the third edition has celebrate legends, premier composers, and award the finest creators of music for film at the Carovigno Castle.

 

Here is the list of the 2025 winners:

 

CARRIER ACHIEVEMENT AWARD – ANNE DUDLEY

Academy Award winning composer Anne Dudley‘s iconic film credits include “The Crying Game” and “The Full Monty,” (for which she received an Academy Award). She recently scored the Italian/British series “Signora Volpe” featuring Italian actor Giovani Cirfiera, who was present at the ceremony. Anne Dudley, is also the composer and founder of the legendary band “Art of Noise.”

 

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD – CARLO CRIVELLI

Di Donatello Award winning composer Carlo Crivelli is the Italian composer of films like “Sangue del Mio Sangue,” “Vincere” and “Devil in Flesh.” Carlo Crivelli is a Best composer recipient of the Ennio Morricone Award for the film Sleeping Beauty by Marco Bellocchio. Crivelli also the founder of the Orchestra “Città Aperta” for the recording of soundtracks.

 

BEST COMPOSERS OF THE YEAR (Italian) – GIULIANO TAVIANI – CARMELO TRAVIA

BEST SONG OF THE YEAR (Italian) – GIORGIA

Film composers Giuliano Taviani and Carmelo Travia have work together on several movies like “Diamanti”, “Red Istambul,” or “Caesare must die.” They worked on more than 60 movies.

Giorgia, is a celebrated Italian singer-songwriter, gained fame in the 1990s with hits like “E’ l’amore”. With a career spanning over two decades, Giorgia has won numerous awards, including multiple Italian Music Awards.

 

BEST COMPOSERS OF THE YEAR (International) – FABRIZIO MANCINELLI

Fabrizio Mancinelli is a renowed composer and conductor, Academy member. He studied the Music Composition Program under the guidance of Academy Award winning composer Luis Bacalov (Il Postino). He composed for Disney film “Mushka”, and for “Here After”, and conducted the music for “Green Book.”

 

BEST CONTRIBUTION TO THE ART OF FILM MUSIC – PAOLO LEPORE

Maestro Paolo Lepore conducted his big band orchestra for a special musical tribute for the music of James Bond films. The concert included iconic scores by composers and songwriters including John Barry, Henri Mancini and Paul McCartney. Maestro Paolo Lepore is the conductor of the Jazz Studio Orchestra in Bari. Prior to his career as conductor, Lepore was a student of Nino Rota at the Bari Conservatory.

 

BEST EMERGING COMPOSER – YI-CHEN CHIANG

Special mention to Sonia Mohammed-Cherif and Alexandre Manoukian

Composer Yi-Chen Chiang received best Award for “Emerging Composers 2025” for her debut. Also, “Sonia Mohammed-Cherif and Alexandre Manoukian” received a special mention for the debut work. Sixteen finalists were chosen for the “Best Emerging Composer.” This year the Masterclass was supervised by long time international publisher and producer Denis Furne and partner with his company EMF of the Apulia Soundtrack Awards since 2023 & Luis Ivars, from the European Alliance and Songwriter Alliance (ECSA).

 

The ASA also featured performances with accomplished renowned musicians: pianist Vincenzo Cipriani and cellist Marco Schiavone. The performance was through a collaboration with Parsifal APS, an organization dedicated to promoting contemporary and original music in South Italia.

 

World-renowned Italian chef Augusto Pasini, who stole the show at the Emmy Awards dinner, was the culinary star again at the Apulia Soundtrack Awards with the support of the Franciacorta Consortium. On July 4, Chef Pasini hosted an exclusive welcome dinner for special guests including Oscar-winning composers and members in the charming setting of a traditional Apulian Masseria.

 

About the previous edition 2024: Last year, Pino Donaggio and Diane Warren won the career achievement award.

Franco Piersanti won the Italian composer of the year award and Daniel Pemberton won the international composer of the year award for “Spider verse.” Ray Costa (Apulia Soundtrack Award advisor) received the award for Major Contribution to the Art of Film Music.

The Apulia Soundtrack Awards – ASA is a project born from the vision of Loredana Epifani, Antonella La Camera, Cyril Morin, and Antonio Ribezzi, who have combined their skills and passions to create an event that promotes film music culture and facilitates dialogue between established and emerging professionals.
