BMI – Sundance 2020 Events

The dates for the prestigious 2020 Sundance Film Festival have arrived, which started yesterday, Friday, January 24th in Park City (Utah, USA) and will continue until next Sunday, February 2nd.


Organized by the Sundance Institute, this festival is a compulsory worldwide reference for the exchange of ideas, information, and contacts, for all types of artists and creatives related to the world of cinema.


As every year, BMI – Broadcast Music Inc, has organized several events to be held during the festival, which you can find below.


BMI Roundtable Discussion – Music & Film: The Creative Process

This panel/roundtable, which is now in its 22nd edition, will take place on Sunday, January 26 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Kimball Arts Center, and will focus on the relationship between composers and directors, where participants will discuss what is involved in producing a successful film score and the ingredients for a productive creative relationship.


The round table will be moderated by Doreen Ringer-Ross, BMI’s Vice President of Creative Relations, and will have the following participants:

BMI Sundance 2020 - Roundtable Discussion - Music & Film: The Creative Process

BMI Snowball Showcase

This musical event, which is now in its 18th edition, will be held on Tuesday, January 28 at 7:30 pm at The Shop, and will include performances by an inspiring all-female roster of highly talented musicians: Chloé Caroline, Lisa Loeb, and Georgia Ku.
