Festival du Cinema et Musique de Film de La Baule 2021 – Philippe Sarde
The 7th edition of the Festival du Cinema et Musique de Film de La Baule to be celebrated 23-27 June 2021 in La Baule (France), has composer Philippe Sarde as its Guest of Honor, offering a concert dedicated to his 50 years of career on Saturday, June 26th.
Philippe Sarde is the creator of more than 250 film scores, nominated for the Oscar for best music for “Tess”, and the festival will give audiences the opportunity to rediscover his musical work through 50 years of French cinema, with a great tribute concert at the Palais des Congrès de La Baule Atlantia.
The pieces will be performed by a chamber orchestra conducted by Dominique Spagnolo featuring singer Angelina Wismes, and have been specially rewritten for the occasion.
The concert, hosted by Stéphane Lerouge, will have the presence of Philippe Sarde, and will be preceded by the La Baule Festival award ceremony in the presence of the entire jury and many talents from the cinema, in a soiree that will last approx. 2h 30m.
