Film music in the conservatory of Oviedo
From today Monday April 3rd and until Thursday April 6th, a series of panels will be held within the 3rd edition of the Cultural Conferences of the Professional Conservatory of Music of Oviedo, which will also be accompanied by several concerts.
The list of events related to film music are the following:
- Today Monday 3rd at 5:45 p.m, Pablo Laspra, audiovisual composer and director of Oviedo FilmMusic Live!, will have a conference in the auditorium of the conservatory titled “Audiovisual compositional techniques: improvisation as part of the compositional process“, which will present a practical perspective on the methods used in audiovisual music production, based on the collaborative experience with different current audiovisual composers and on his own experience.
Pablo Laspra has composed the music of more than 60 different audiovisual productions, within the fields of publicity, TV series, short films and documentaries.
- On Wednesday 5th at 6:30 p.m., Manuel Ballesteros will accompany in the auditorium the students of chamber music, who will interpret soundtracks in a concert-puzzle format, which the audience will have to guess to complete the program, and where prizes will be given to the winners.
- On Thursday, April 6th at 9:00 pm and with free admission, a choir concert will be held in the auditorium of the conservatory, conducted by Rafael Zanon and accompanied to the piano by Paula Raposo, that will have guest instruments like trumpets, trombone, tuba, electric guitar, electric bass and drums, performing classical music and film music, with the following mixed program:
