FIMUCS – Festival Internacional de Música de Cine Sevilla – Seville International Film Music Festival, which will celebrate its 1st edition from March 4 to 7, has made public today its detailed concert program, which includes pieces created expressly to be performed at the festival and world premieres of works never before heard in concert. The best music of great Spanish composers, along with two legends of soundtracks: John Williams and Ennio Morricone.
Among some of these unpublished pieces prepared especially for the festival we have a suite from the soundtrack of ‘Below Zero’ by Zacarías Martínez de la Riva, a film released on Netflix last January 29th and number one worldwide that weekend, a suite from the hit series ‘Money Heist’ prepared by Iván Martínez Lacámara, an unreleased suite by Pascal Gaigne with music from the films ‘Le cou de la girafe’ and ‘L’Enfant Debout’, the world premiere of a suite from ‘Tabarka’ by Luis Ivars on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the movie, or a suite from this year’s Goya-nominated film ‘Rosa’s Wedding’ prepared by Vanessa Garde, along with works such as ‘Extinction – Farewell’ by Sergio Moure de Oteyza, which will be performed by the first time in concert.
In the field of animation, two pieces created by Manel Gil-Inglada are also world premieres prepared exclusively for the festival: the theme ‘A Daring Adventure’ from the film ‘Hullabaloo’ directed by James Lopez, and a piece from the film ‘Dogtanian and the three muskehounds’ directed by Toni Garcia and based on the famous animated series of the 80s. Neither of the two films has been commercially released in theaters or digital platforms yet, which gives an even greater value to the premiere of both pieces at the festival.
