Goya Awards 33rd edition – Nominees

As usual in December, we continue with news about nominations to various awards, and in this case, it is going to be the Spanish “Oscars”, the Goya Awards, that celebrate their 33rd edition.

 

Organized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Spain, they have the purpose of rewarding the best professionals in each of the different specialties of the sector, both technical and creative.

 

El Reino is the film with the most options in the awards with 13 nominations, among them the Best Film and Best Direction, with Campeones following closely with 11 nominations and Carmen y Lola or Todos Lo Saben both with 8 nominations.

 

Divided into a total of 28 categories, we highlight the following, in which you can see some usual names of these nominations:

Mejor música original

  • Olivier Arson – El reino
  • Iván Palomares – En las estrellas
  • Manuel Riveiro, Xavi Font – La sombra de la ley
  • Alberto Iglesias – Yuli

 

Mejor canción original

  • Coque Malla – Este es el momento (Movie: Campeones)
  • Paco de la Rosa – Me vas a extrañar (Movie: Carmen y Lola)
  • Roque Baños, Tessy Díez Martín – Tarde azul de abril (Movie: El hombre que mató a Don Quijote)
  • Javier Limón – Una de esas noches sin final (Movie: Por Todos lo saben)

The gala will be held next Saturday, February 2nd, 2019 at the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones in Seville, where in addition to the awards, the Honorary Goya will be presented to the screenwriter and director Chicho Ibañez Serrador.
