Hollywood Music in Media Awards 2018 – Winners
Yesterday, November 14, the 9th edition of the Hollywood Music in Media Awards was held at the Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles.
The award for the best Original score – feature film went to Max Richter for Mary Queen of Scots, while Ludwig Goransson won the award for Original score – science fiction, fantasy or horror film with Black Panther. Alexandre Desplat won in the category of Original score – Animated film with Isle of Dogs and Cyrille Aufort in Original score – Documentary with March of the Penguins: The Next Step.
The Spanish composer Joan Vilà won the prize for the best Original Score – Independent film (Foreign Language), and the Polish Pawel Gorniak, winner of the Young Talent Award at the Krakow Film Music Festival (Krakow FMF), won the award in the category of Song / Score – Trailer.
During the ceremony, the Golden Jerry Goldsmith Award was presented to Carlos Rafael Rivera, one of the eight winners of the Jerry Goldsmith Awards that were held in Úbeda (Jaén, Spain) on November 2 (read news), who also won the award for main Title Theme – TV with Godless.
