Friday, 12/5/2023 – 20h – The Lord of the Rings – SYMPHONIC CONCERT (Auditorium)

The first part of this triptych devoted to Howard Shore will allow those who are unaware of this aspect of his activity to become acquainted with the concert works of the composer, author of a fanfare for organ and a concerto for guitar, which will have its French premiere. Those familiar with The Lord of the Rings universe will have the pleasure, in the second part, of rediscovering the vast soundscapes imagined by Howard Shore for this monument of heroic fantasy.

Saturday, 13/5/2023 – 20h – Cronenberg – CHORAL MUSIC (Studio 104)

If the metaphor of the fly’s eye could be used to define Howard Shore’s varied talents, this concert will be another striking illustration. What universe could be more different than David Cronenberg’s Crash and Arnaud Desplechin’s Esther Kahn? In this second part, an A Cappella mass, sung by the Radio France Choir, will tell us a little more about this versatile composer.
