John Williams – Homage Concert – 85 years
Next April, Friday 7th and Saturday 8th at 8 pm, a homage concert to John Williams will be held at the Symphony Hall in Boston (Massachusetts – USA), to celebrate he has just turned 85 years.
These concerts, which are a special event prior to the official season of the Boston Pops orchestra, and which have been named “Happy Birthday, John Williams!“, will have Keith Lockhart as conductor.
As indicated in the program, pieces rarely played will be included such as Goodbye Mr Chips (1969) and Towering Inferno (1974), as well as varied material from John Williams’ extensive and long career of 60 years composing music.
As a special note to highlight, these concerts will be recorded and will serve as a basis for the creation of a homage CD, to be released in spring.
Tickets, which go on sale on Monday, February 13th, will have prices between $ 45 and $ 115 and will be purchased at:
