John Williams – Piano Concerto – World premiere in Tanglewood

Today, Saturday, July 26, 2025, the Boston Symphony Orchestra conducted by Andris Nelsons, and with Emanuel Ax at the piano, will premiere Maestro John Williams’ 22-minute ‘Piano Concerto’. The program will be completed with Gustav Mahler’s ‘Symphony No. 1 in D’, his first contribution to the genre of the symphony.

John Williams is expected to be enjoying the concert in the audience, and for those who can’t attend, the WAMC Radio Station will broadcast the concert live, and the concerto will be recorded for a future release:
