SoundTrack_Cologne 17 – Don Davis – Lifetime Achievement Award

The 17th edition of SoundTrack_Cologne to be celebrated from Wednesday 22nd to Saturday 25th of April 2020 in Cologne (Germany), has announced that composer Don Davis will be the recipient of this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

 

Don Davis will receive the award for his exceptional achievements in film composing on Saturday, April 25th at the SoundTrack_Cologne closing gala. On Friday, April 24th he will share insights into his work in a workshop discussion and comment live on his music in “The Matrix”.

 

SoundTrack_Cologne is the largest German congress for music and sound in film, games, and media, offering more than 50 round tables, panels, workshops, and networking events. The main focus is set on current developments in the culture, law, marketing, and technics of media music, as well as business cases, professionalization, and networking.

 

The detailed planning for this 17th edition hasn’t been published yet, but we know that the festival will be divided into three days full of activities, each dedicated to a different genre: Thursday 24th – Videogames, Friday 25th – Film, Saturday 26th – TV.
