Special concert with the music of Wojciech Kilar in Warsaw (Poland)
This Sunday, December 9 at 7:30 p.m., the Polish Radio Orchestra (Polska Orkiestra Radiowa), conducted by Maciej Sztor, will offer a special thematic concert with the music of the famous Polish composer Wojciech Kilar at the COS Torwar venue in Warsaw (Poland).
The concert, entitled ‘Koncert Muzyki Filmowej – Wojciech Kilar’, will feature the choirs Chór Kameralny Tibi Domine and the Academic Choir of the University of Warsaw (Chór Akademicki Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego), as well as the voices of Anna Lasota and Jasin Rammal-Rykała, in an evening that will be hosted by Magda Miśka-Jackowska.
Wojciech Kilar, who died in 2013 at 81 years old, was one the greatest Polish film music composers, working on over a hundred full-length movies, and collaborating with the greatest cinema celebrities such as Andrzej Wajda, Krzysztof Kieślowski, Roman Polański, Krzysztof Zanussi, Jane Campion and Francis Ford Coppola.
