Nuestro amigo, colaborador y miembro de la IFMCA, Sergio Hardasmal, ha publicado el primer libro en inglés dedicado a la carrera y la obra completa de Marc Shaiman.

 

Originalmente, este libro fue publicado en 2020 en español (leer más) y finalmente ha sido traducido al inglés por Alex Massana. Al mismo tiempo, se ha publicado una segunda edición en español, actualizada, revisada y ampliada.

 

Este libro ofrece un extenso y riguroso trabajo escrito tras años de estudio de la obra del compositor, presentado con un estilo ameno y sencillo, analizando la música y su uso con la imagen. Películas, musicales, series de televisión, canciones sueltas para galas y estrellas del pop, episodios piloto o incluso el logo de Castle Rock… todo ha sido analizado con detalle, incluyendo en algunos casos opiniones del propio compositor y sus colaboradores, tras una detallada investigación, y el análisis de multitud de entrevistas publicadas en revistas y medios especializados. Todos los aspectos posibles de la carrera de Marc Shaiman están incluidos en el libro: como compositor, como letrista, como actor, y más…

 

En el interior del libro y en la portada, encontraréis ilustraciones basadas en los personajes de las películas a las que Marc Shaiman ha puesto música, creadas por Andrés Antúnez. El artista Javier De la Cruz García ha pintado una acuarela con el retrato de Shaiman, expresamente para la portada de este libro.
